I bet Rod Gilbert knows a thing or two about New Year’s Eve in New York. Yet I’d rather hear his take on what New Year’s was like in ’57-58 when, as a 16-year old French Canadian kid, Rod played in Guelph, Ontario, for the Biltmore Mad Hatters, a team named after the local hat factory.

I bet most New Yorkers can’t correctly pronounce ‘Guelph.’ Happy New Year nonetheless. Best wishes to all in 2020. (photo credit: Tony Triolo)
