When I was a child I would occasionally sit at ice level where the temperature was considerably colder. Any discomfort I experienced was worth it.

From those rail seats I would see things that I couldn’t from above. The incredible speed of the game, for example, and the enormity of the athletes. But the best part was witnessing the one-on-one battles — men giving everything they had, to achieve even the tiniest of victories.
