The official launch of my adventure book Bay of Hope is on May 22nd in my hometown of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Four days after that, in Bobby Orr’s hometown of Parry Sound, I’m giving a talk about this website and my previous book, The Lost 10 Point Night, to the Society for International Hockey Research (SIHR).
Bay of Hope has been entered in the Banff Mountain Book Competition, and, at my SIHR event, two professors from Hamilton will be speaking on the changing locations of Canadian NHL players’ hometowns, an area of expertise that has always fascinated this geography junkie. I feel blessed for all of the above. Marcel Pronovost was born in Lac-à-la-Tortue, Quebec, by the way.
